Watched The Big Lebowski (I don't think I liked it but maybe I'll watch it again). It seems too simple and disturbing, It was too low-key for me and people were too angry at Lebowski, who really seemed like he needed more character development. Maybe it's just meant to be a "at face value movie." Just needed more. Maybe it could have had flashbacks, but I also saw the need to create a solid post- 60s revolution world, which I thought was a great background. I loved the character's ideas and just their essence. The darkness of young people in America is clearly shown and I loved that. And how the white rich man and the white policeman hated Lebowski, being a hippie and someone who doesn't work hard. It felt like what white people form a certain generation felt, on the inside and on the outside. It was kind of a for better or for worse movie, as good in ideas as it was unsettling. What was it for though? Maybe I just don't get it.
Given both a Signed Copy of Adam Ant's autobiography signed at time of publishing, and the audiobook! Thank you H & B! <3
Read the Neil Gaiman re-written picture book with all black ink paintings, Hansel and Gretel!!!! Very creepy for children. Simple and disturbing. Perfect!
